previous step next step

Web sites are divided into pages. Each page should ideally represent sections or "chunks" of information. These pages will then fit together to tell the overall purpose of your site. To aid you in selecting and building your web pages we have created certain Page Types that represent typical divisions (or chunks) of information.

Step 3 includes two options:

Page Type
Setting the Page type specifies the kind of page (its purpose or how it will be used). Select your
Page Type from the drop down menu.

Page type information (to the right of the selections) will change to give you ideas and suggestions for how you can utilize that page type..

TIP: You are not restricted to the web pages as defined or suggested by our page types. You may select from any page type and then name and customize it to suit your organization or personal needs.

TIP: With this service you can add an online calendar to your web site! Calendars can be valuable tools for communicating with your students, parents, or associates.

Page Name
The Page Name establishes a name for the Page Type. This page name will be used whenever you reference or edit your site from the Web Manager. The Page Name is also used to build the central navigation for your site. netStartClass will automatically name your page. To customize the page name simply rename it by typing over the default Page Name.

Give any page type the name of your choice.

After selecting the Page Type, enter the Page Name, then click Add to My Site. Repeat the selection and naming process until you reach the desired number of pages that you want to include in your web site.

netStartClass builds and displays a list of the pages you have created.

TIP: You may add or change Page Types after your site has been published. Many groups and organizations begin their online presence with modest web sites and then add more pages as their needs change or grow.
