We will be in the library to research each class period. You must make the most of your time. You will be working with a partner and you will be grading each other at the end of this assignment. Your grade will reflect how much effort you put into the paper. If you choose not to work, you are not only hurting yourself but you are hurting your partner as well. You will be receiving a daily grade for the work you do.

Each of you will be given one large clasp envelope, it is your responsiblity to keep up with all of your information in an organized manner. Each of you will be required to have several sources quoted in your paper. DO NOT EVEN THINK ABOUT PLAGIARIZING YOUR PAPERS.

The papers will be written in MLA format. Every heading and page number will be counted. There is information in the library if you are not familiar with the MLA style. We will also go over this in class.

A bibliography sheet will be turned in as well. Be sure you keep up with your bibliography sheet as you are doing your research.

You must have no less than six sources. At least one encyclopedia, and the other five must be books, magazines and/or movies/TV shows. There will be NO Internet research accepted.

The final paper will be 3 to 5 pages in length, 12 font, and double spaced. No more and no less! You will be required to turn in the final draft and all other pages in a braded folder or report cover. This must look professional.

Be sure to take your time and make yourself accountable for your paper. If it is thrown together at the last minute, then I may "throw" an adequate grade at you.

1st Period - Tuesday, May 27th (early turn in by Wdnesday, May 21st)
2nd Period - Tuesday, May 27th (early turn in by Tuesday, May 20th)
5th Period - Wednesday, May 28th (early turn in by Wednesday, May 21st)

Outline - 10 points
Spelling - 15 points
Punctuation - 15 points
Content - 30 points
Bibliography - 10 points
Disk - 10 points

Pictures - 2 points maximum
Early Turn In - 3 points maximum

There will be several grades given for this research project. There will be a daily grade, a peer grade and a grade for the paper itself.
