This technical laboratory course focuses on the design of residential and non-residential interior environments to achieve occupant well-being and productivity. The content addresses design practices and influences, space planning, lighting, materials, furnishings, legal considerations, the impact of technology on interiors. Budgeting, consumer decision making, safety, the care and maintennce of interiors, career preparation and the management of multiple adult roles are emphasized.
