I began teaching at Colorado High School the fall semester 2003 year after teaching Career and Technology courses, Skills for Living and Career Investigation to seventh grade students for seven years.
I received my B.S. degree in Home Economics Education from Texas Tech University in the Spring of 1990. I received my teaching certificate the same year.
I am a native of Colorado City and I have lived here for all but eight years of my life. The eight years I spent away from Colorado City were spent in Lubbock, Plainview, Post and Lockhart.
While I was away from Colorado City, I earned my degree from Texas Tech University, was employed by Texas Cooperative Extension service for five years as a County Extension Agent, Family and Consumer Science in Hale, Garza and Caldwell Counties.
When I returned to Colorado City in 1995, I owned and operated a candy and gift shop in the Wood's Boots complex for two years.
I enjoy gardening, sewing, cooking in my time away from school. |
