Welcome the Colorado Wolves, Wolf Nation Web sight. The Wolves are looking for another good year in Mens athletics and a much improved year in girls athletics.
The Wolves will be in District 7AA with Coahoma, Wall, San Angelo Grape Creek, Jim Ned, and Ballinger.
All 7th, 9th, and 11th grade students need to have a new physical on file before you can participate in a sport this year. Your coach will have the physical forms. Also, your coach will have forms for all athletes that must be completed, signed and turned in before participation can start.
Dave Campbell Texas Football has Jim Ned, Wall, Ballinger pick 1, 2, and 3 respectively this year, but Dave has not come out to see the Wolves yet.
The Colorado Football Wolves won their season opener against the Reagan County Owls 29--0 in the Sammy Baugh Classic.
The Colorado Football Wolves defeated the Anson Tigers 20-9 in Anson to improve to 2--0 on the young season.
The Wolves improved to 3--0 on the young season by defeating the Stanton Bullaloes 35--21.
The Wolves defeated the Coleman Bluecats 16--6 for a nice homecoming victory and improved to 4--0.
The Wolves suffered their first loss of the season to the 8th ranked Cisco Loboes.
The Wolves finished their non district schedule with a record of 4--1.
The Wolves open district with a Win over the Grape Creek Eagles. Eli Farrell kicked a 47 yard field goal as time expired to give the Wolves a 24--21 win over the Eagles. This win improved the Wolves to 5--1 and 1--0 in district.
The Wolves notched their 2nd win of district with a win over the Jim Ned Indians, 28--14. This win improved the Wolves to 6--1 for the season.
The Wolves clinched a playoff spot with a victory over the Coahoma Bulldogs 21--14. The win over the Bulldogs did not come easy as Tyler Higgins caught a pass with 10 seconds remaining to score the go ahead victory.
The Wolves remained undefeated in District 7AA with a win over the Ballinger Bearcats 28--6. This win marked the first win over Ballinger in football since 1998. This win set up a showdown with the 4--0 Wall Hawks.
The Colorado Wolves Won the District Championship for District 7AA with a win over the Wall Hawks, 25-16. Wall finished district with a record of 4--1, Jim Ned 3--2, Coahoma 2--3, Grape Creek 1--4, and Ballinger 0--5.
The Colorado Wolves will play the Comanchee Indians for the Bi-District Championship, Friday, November 13, 2009 at Shotwell Stadium. Comanchee comes into the game with an impressive 8--2 records.
The JV Football Wolves are 8--2 on the season with a win over Reagan County 24--7, a win over Anson in a wild game, 40--38. A win on the road against the Stanton 26-20, a road win against the Coleman Bluecats 18--13. The JV finished their non district season with a win over Cisco 33--26.
The JV Wolves remained undeated but, with around 3:00 minutes left in the 2nd quarter, the JV Wolves football game with Grape Creek was stopped due to lightning. At that point during the game, the Wolves were leading 12--6. The JV Wolves defeated the Jim Ned JV Indians 34-12 to remain perfect on the season. The JV Wolves improved to 8--0 with a convincing win over the JV Coahoma Bulldogs 41--6. The JV dropped their last two games to Ballinger and Jim Ned Respectively.
The 7th grade is 7--1 with wins over Stanton, Coleman, Cisco, Grape Creek,Jim Ned, and Coahoma, Ballinger and Wall. The 7th Grade is the 7th Grade District Champs The 8th grade finished 2--7 this year with win coming over the Jim Ned Indians and Coahoma.
The Lady Wolves Volleyball Teams are having a successful beginning to their season. They brought back the 1st place trophy from the Sterling City Tournament.
The Lady Wolves Volleyball teams are currently as runner up in district Volleyball and were Area Finalist. The Lady wolves ended the season with a 23--15 record and 6--2 in Distrtic.
Girls Basketball has already gotten underway and CMS basketball will start on 11/9/09.
