I am an Air Force brat who learned early on to love history and the stories people around the world have told about themselves. Understanding these people helps us to understand and appreciate the diversity of our society and the rich texture that diversity creates.

If we have the chance to study the struggles our country has faced and the things we've learned from our successes (and our failures) then we all can contribute to the continued growth of the United States.
