I am originally from Amarillo, TX. graduating from Tascosa High School in 1996. I went to Wayland Baptist University to graduate in 2000. I began teaching at Colorado Middle School in 2000 and started back to school at Angelo State University, where I completed my masters in school counseling. I have been married for nine years and my husband and I have two little girls. This will be my 9th year with Colorado ISD. I enjoy my job as the counselor at Colorado Middle School and look forward to working and listening to each individual student on our campus.
As the counselor at Colorado Middle School I want to help all students be successful. There are many projects at Colorado Middle School such as; UIL, Rachel's Challenge, Talent Search, Cheerleading, Abstinence Program, Career Day, Health and Fitness Day, National History Day, and Dare To Care Program, in which we look forward to participating in. Working with middle school students is a joy. I hope to encourage students to set high goals and reach them. Students should realize they can be successful at anything they put their heart into.
My goal this school year is to help students understand that school is important and to get excited about being in middle school.
I look forward to a fun filled school year encouraging all students to be their best.
