  Hutchinson Happenings

In it's glory days.
In this old photograph, you can see what a magnificent house this once was. The young girl seems to be extreemely proud as she leans against the old rod iron fence.
Endings and Beginnings
The destruction of this old house has made way for a marvelous change.
All of our Hutch students watched the demolition and were eager to begin the hard work of transforming what would soon be an empty lot into a park they could be proud of, and all of our community could enjoy.
It's hard work.
Each grade level took turns helping clear the weeds and trash to make way for the now plants and playground.
Look at all of those helping hands!
Every student and staff member of Hutchinson Elementary put their hands in the new sidewalks of Heritage Park. Now these young children can one day bring their children and grandchildren to show them their part in Hutchinson History.
Still under construction!
There are still a lot of transformations taking place at Heritage Park. It will be a wonderful and inviting park when our Hutchinson students are done with it.
Planting Crepe Myrtles
Each grade level planted crepe myrtles at Heritage park to help beautify the landscape.
Make sure you cover all the roots with dirt.
You have to make sure you dig the hole to the correct specifications.
