Hello. My name is Sherry James, and I am an English teacher. I have worked for two other high schools as well as Hardin-Simmons University teaching English. I am fully certified to teach English, Language Arts, Reading, and Speech 8-12. I also have experience in teaching Theater Arts as well. I am currently working on the completion of my Master's degree in Gifted Education/English.

As I stated earlier, my name is Sherry James and I absolutly LOVE English! But, there is more to me than just books. Let me give you a glimpse: I have been married to a wonderful (and crazy) man named John for the past 15 years. We have 2 children - Chris (14 yrs) and Amber (10 yrs). We also lay claim to a dog (Foxy), a cat (Thomas), a robo-dwarf hamster (Boo), and various fish. We have a rather pathetic looking flower garden which I seem more inclined to kill than to grow!

My family is big into comic-cons, superheroes, and Star Wars. John (my husband) is a member of the 501st Imperial Legion (in other words, he dresses up as a storm trooper from Star Wars) and volunteers his time at different functions. We go to the annual Star Wars gatherings and of course own a very large collection of Star Wars memorabilia. We regularly attend the Renaissance Festivals and various comic-cons (in costume!). Anything that catches our attention, we will try such as chupacabra hunting in South Texas!

On a side note for those of you who are wondering -- Yes. John is a relative of Jesse James, so I claim by marriage the right to organize a "James Gang" of my own! ;-)
