Mitchell County Railhead Trade Days |
Our FCCLA members made posters, coloring books for the children and handouts for the parents. We also created an area with pumpkins for the community to take pictures. One of our members brought their sheep for children to pet so they would know what wool felt like before it is made into clothing and blankets.
We also had a mini-cotton gin supplied by the County Extension office.

Nursing home visits |
Our Food, Science and Nutrition classes studied a unit on the Elderly. The students planned a Valentine celebration for the residents of both nursing homes. Cards were made by all the classes and cookies (regular and diabetic) were baked. The visit was so rewarding and the cookies were used for their Valentine party.
